The Muskingum women's basketball team slipped to the Mount Union Purple Raiders on Wednesday, 100-70.

Game Highlights

In the first quarter, Mount Union tallied back-to-back points to jump out to an early 13-5 lead. Sweeny drilled a three-pointer at the 5:06 marker to expand the gap to 21-9. Muskingum answered back with a 9-2 run to get within five-points (23-18) of Mount Union. In the second quarter, the Purple Raiders remained hot and outscored the Muskies 39-9 to secure a 62-27 advantage going into the break.

Muskingum went on to outscore Mount Union in the third (25-21) and fourth (18-17) quarters. Despite their efforts, the Purple Raiders used a 51-30 advantage in bench points and a 22-14 advantage in points off turnovers to lock in the triumph.
