The Otterbein University Cardinals soared past the Muskingum women's basketball team on Saturday, 67-46.

• Muskingum ended the contest shooting 17-of-57 (29.8%) from the field, which included hitting 6-of-16 (37.5%) from behind the arc.
• Sophomore Olivia Lang and junior Emily Yeager guided the Muskies with 10 points each. 
• Yeager also recorded five rebounds and tallied two assists. 
• Freshman Casey Smith notched a team-high three steals. 
• Otterbein ended the contest shooting 24-of-64 (37.5%) in the field and 16-of-23 (69.9%) from the free-throw line.
• Abbie Scholz directed the Cardinals with a game-best 13 points, shooting 6-of-12 (50.0%) from the field and 1-of-2 (50.0%) at the free-throw line. 
• Scholz also recorded nine rebounds and notched a game-high seven steals. 
• Abby Zerkle secured 11 points and logged two assists. 

Game Highlights

In the first quarter, the Muskies recorded four straight points to jump out to an early 4-0 lead. The Cardinals fought back with a 9-5 run to tie up play to 9-9. The contest remained tight until Otterbein locked in a 12-6 run to advance past the Muskies with a score of 21-15. In the second quarter, Otterbein tallied back-to-back points to secure a 10-point edge (25-15) over the Muskies. Otterbein took control of the contest with a 16-7 run en route to the 67-46 triumph.
