Game Highlights
In the first quarter, the contest remained tight until the Tigers tallied back-to-back points to jump out to an early 12-4 lead. With less than a minute remaining, Muskingum tallied a 9-4 run and Lang connected on a long ball to get the Muskies within three-points (16-13) of Wittenberg. Wittenberg answered with a jump shot to give them an 18-13 edge going into the second quarter. The Tigers tallied a 14-8 run to expand their lead to 32-21 at the 3:51 juncture. Yeager cashed in a layup in an attempt to close the gap, but the Tigers secured a 41-27 advantage going into the half.
In the third quarter, Wittenberg recorded a 7-5 run to widen the deficit to 48-32. Muskingum retaliated with an 8-4 run to trim the lead to 52-40 going into the final quarter. Muskingum continued to battle and tallied a 7-3 run to get within eight-points of Wittenberg (55-47). The Tigers took control of the outing with a 16-9 run en route to the 71-56 triumph.
