Game Highlights

In the first quarter, the contest remained tight until the Muskies tallied back-to-back points to jump out to an early 10-4 lead. Bonner cashed in a layup with less than a minute remaining to expand the gap to 14-5. The Lions retaliated with five straight points to get within six-points (15-9) of the Muskies. In the second quarter, the Muskies came out hot and recorded seven unanswered points to give them an 11-point edge (22-13) on the Lions. Haberthy sunk two straight long balls to trim the lead to 27-23. Mount Saint Joseph managed to get within three-points (29-26) of the Muskies heading into the break.

In the third quarter, Haberthy drained a three-pointer to tie up play to 31-31. The Muskies and Lions traded baskets until Mount Saint Joseph recorded four consecutive points to secure a 45-41 lead with less than a minute remaining in the third quarter. In the fourth quarter, Carlee Daulton cashed in back-to-back free-throws to widen the gap to 47-41. Muskingum chipped away at the differential and a layup by freshman Casey Smith got the Muskies within one-point (58-57) of the Lions. Muskingum tallied four straight points en route to the 64-61 triumph.
