Kenyon used a second half surge to hand the Muskies a 68-57 setback in their season opener on Tuesday evening.
The Basics

First Period
- The opening ten minutes ended with the Muskies trailing 15-11.
- Muskingum was led in the period by senior Mallory Taylor with four points.
- Junior Hallie Stocker recorded two points and three rebounds for the Muskies.
- Kenyon was led by Bailey Dominguez with five points on 2-of-5 shooting.
Second Period
- Muskingum opened the second period with a 10-0 run following a three-pointer by junior Olivia Besancon that put the Muskies on top 21-15 with 7:42 to play before halftime.
- Kenyon responded with a run of its own cutting the deficit to 21-20 with 6:13 remaining.
- The two teams exchanged points for several minutes before a pair of made free throws by junior Stephanie Clark put the Muskies on top 31-29 at the break.
- Besancon led the Muskies with five points.
- Dominguez finished with five points for Kenyon.
Third Period
- Kenyon finished the period outscoring Muskingum 24-17 en route to the 53-48 advantage.
- Muskingum was led by Stocker with seven points.
- The Muskies shot 4-for-8 (.500) from the field and 8-for-9 (.889) from the free throw line.
- Jessica Gerber led Kenyon with eight points.
Fourth Period
- Despite a 9-0 run late in the frame Muskingum was never able to get closer than three points.
- Stocker led Muskingum with three points shooting 1-for-2 from behind the arc.
- Miranda Diesz led Kenyon in the period with six points.
Post Game
- Stocker finished with a team-high 15 points and five rebounds for Muskingum.
- Besancon added 12 points, while Clark and Taylor both chipped in eight points each.
- Muskingum ended the game shooting 16-for-50 (.320) from the field.
- Kenyon saw four players in double figures.
- Dominguez finished with 14 points, while Tullis added 13 points and Diesz and Gerber chipped in 10 points each.
