The Muskingum women's basketball team went 1-1 at the Allegheny Tournament on Friday-Saturday. The Muskies lost against Carnegie Mellon 92-63 and rebounded for a 66-60 win against Westminster.
The Basics

Game One
- Against Carnegie Mellon, Muskingum was led by sophomore Olivia Besancon who scored 16 points.
- Sophomore Alexandra Carson scored 11 points.
- Junior Mallory Taylor added 10 points.
- Muskingum ended the outing shooting .329 (23-of-70) from the field.
- Lisa Murphy led the Tartons with 27 points.
- Carnegie Mellon shot .493 (34-of-69) from the floor and held a 54-33 advantage in rebounds.
Game Two
- The Muskies outscored the Titans 21-14 in the fourth period to erase a one-point deficit to secure the win.
- The final period surge was highlighted by an 11-2 run.
- Besancon led the team with 21 points, which included hitting five three-point shots. Following the tournament, Besancon was named to the all-tournament team.
- Taylor added 18 points and grabbed six rebounds.
- Muskingum shot .368 (21-of-57) from the field and held a 36-33 edge in rebounds.
- The Muskies connected on 16-of-19 free throws.
- Rachel Durbin led Westminster with 19 points and five rebounds.
- The Titans shot 18-of-48 (.375) from the floor.
