The Muskingum women's basketball team was handed a 66-38 loss at Ohio Athletic Conference rival Capital on Wednesday evening.

Sophomore Jasmine Goings led the Muskies with 12 points and five rebounds.

Freshman Shelbi VanMeter added 10 points.

Muskingum (3-13, 1-8) ended the outing shooting .250 (14-of-56) from the field.

Nina Napolitano led the Crusaders with 14 points and six rebounds.

Capital (8-8, 4-5) shot .436 (24-of-55) from the floor and ended the game with a 45-32 advantage in rebounds.

Capital, which led the entire game, seized control of the outing in the first half racing out to a 33-10 lead at the half.

In the second half, the Crusaders led by as many as 34 en route to the home victory.

Muskingum next hosts Baldwin Wallace on Saturday, January 24. Game time is slated for 3:00 p.m.
