The Muskingum STUNT team earned a home-opening sweep over Olivet on Sunday in the Steele Center. The Muskies won game one, 9-1 and won game two in dominating fashion, 13-0.

The opening quarter saw the Muskies jump out to an early 2-0 lead in partner stunts. Muskingum extended their lead 4-0 in the second quarter on pyramids and tosses. The Muskies continued to stretch their lead out as they received two more points in jumps and tumbling taking a 6-0 lead heading into the final period. The Muskies used a 3-1 advantage in team routines to secure a 9-1 victory over the Comets.

Records: Muskingum (2-2 Overall), Olivet (0-4)

Muskingum jumped out to a 2-0 lead in partner stunts. The second quarter saw Muskingum extend their lead 5-0 with three points earned in pyramids and tosses. Muskingum scored three points in the third quarter and headed to the final period with an 8-0 lead. The Muskies used a five-point fourth quarter surge to cap off a 13-0 home sweep against the Comets.

Muskingum will next compete on Saturday, March 11, when they travel to Hiram to take on Alma and Olivet. Game time is set for 1:00 p.m. inside Price Gymnasium.
