Notables

  • Tonight's STUNT game was the first competition in Muskingum program history.
  • Muskingum posted their first win in program history, 13-5.
  • The game marked the first contest and win for Muskingum under Head Coach Joelle Bice.

The Muskies took a 2-0 lead after the first quarter. The second quarter saw Muskingum extend their lead 3-1 with a point in pyramids and tosses. Muskingum scored four points in the third quarter in jumps and tumbling. In the fourth quarter, the Muskies outscored the Saints, 6-3 to secure a 13-5 victory.

In the sport of STUNT, individual games are broken down into four quarters, with each quarter focusing on a different discipline: Quarter 1 – Partner Stunts; Quarter 2- Pyramids and Tosses; Quarter 3 – Jumps and Tumbling; Quarter 4 – Team Routine.

Once a routine is selected in a quarter (all teams learn and perform the same routines that are provided by USA Cheer), the two sides perform the routine at the same time. Judges then determine which sides should be awarded the point. The team with the most points at the end of four quarters is declared the winner.

Up Next

Muskingum will next compete on Saturday, March 26, when they host Olivet and Hiram College beginning at 9:00 AM in the Anne C. Steele Center.
