The Muskingum softball team split their home opener against Denison, finishing 1-1. In the first game, the Muskies fell 8-1. In game two, the Muskies delivered a dominant 12-0 shutout victory.

Game one

• Freshman Kasey Timko went 3-for-4 in the batter's box, recording four RBIs and one run.
• Junior Cara Taylor contributed two hits, two runs, and a stolen base.
• Sophomore Bethany Rodman tallied two RBIs and one hit while also pitching four innings, allowing only three hits.
• Sophomore Morgan Layne added two hits, two RBIs, and one run.
• Sophomore Natalie Smith and junior Eliana Shaheen each recorded an RBI and a run. Shaheen also posted two hits, including a double.
• Freshman Hailey Pueblo logged two runs and a hit.
• Freshman Ashley Brewster closed for the Muskies, pitching one inning and recording one strikeout.
