The Muskingum softball team split their doubleheader with OAC-foe Ohio Northern on Friday afternoon. The Polar Bears took game one, 5-0, and the Muskies answered back winning game two, 3-1.

Game One
How it Happened
- Ashley Lesner tossed a complete game no-hitter to lead the Polar Bears to a game one, 5-0 win. She ended the outing with four strikeouts and two walks.
Inside the Numbers
- Senior Hannah Smith was dealt the loss after pitching a complete game. She finished with six strikeouts.
Game Two
How it Happened
- Muskingum took a 2-0 lead in the first inning off a Katie Osburn two-run, RBI single up the middle.
- The Muskies plated their final run off a Mickayla Malone slow roller to third base. The Muskies held a 3-0 lead in the fourth.
- Ohio Northern threatened in the seventh plating one run to trim the Muskie lead to 3-1. The Polar Bears faced a two-out bases-loaded situation but clutch Muskingum defensive stops and pitching secured a Muskie 3-1 victory.
Inside the Numbers
- Muskingum scored three runs off six hits.
- Sophomore Madelyn Thomas earned the win in the circle tossing a complete game and struck out four polar Bear batters.
- Senior Katie Osburn led the Muskies with one hit and two RBIs.
- Junior Mickayla Malone added a hit and RBI to help the Muskie scoring effort.
- Sophomore Kalie Eshelman ended the game with three hits and a run scored.
- Junior Claire Warschauer finished with a hit and run scored.
- Taylor Hilty led Ohio Northern with an RBI.
