Softball splits road doubleheader with Wilmington

The Muskingum softball team split their away doubleheader against Wilmington on Saturday afternoon winning Game 1, 6-1, while falling in Game 2, 6-4.

  • Muskingum answered right back with a solo homerun from Hawk in the second inning.
  • Muskingum took a 2-1 lead in the third off a Lamacz single.
  • Wilmington used a three hit, four run inning to take a 5-2 lead in the fifth.
  • Wilmington extended their lead 6-2 on a Hayley Suchland home run.
  • The Muskies' comeback fell short in the seventh as they got two runs off a Powers' single and had the tying runs on base when the game ended.
