Men’s Cross Country Finishes third at Daniel Mullen Memorial Invitational

On Saturday morning, the men's cross country team finished third at the Daniel Mullen Memorial Invitational.

Notables

  • The invitational is in honor of Daniel Mullen, who was a 2015 graduate of Muskingum, where he was a member of the cross country and track & field teams. He helped lead the men's cross country squad to a 10th-place finish at the 2012 NCAA Regional Meet, which tied for the best finish in school history.

  • Moorehead Farm - New Concord, Ohio
  • The event was an 8K race
  • The Muskies tallied a total of 63 points to finish third out of five teams

How It Happened

  • Sophomore Blake Miller led the Muskies with a time of 29:32.3 to finish eighth.
  • Freshman John Tully recorded a time of 29:39.1. Tully finished ninth.
  • Freshman Nick Hatfield cruised past the finish line with the time of 30:28.9. That time landed him a 14th-place finish.
  • Junior Korey Kakascik recorded a time of 30:33.0. He placed 15th.
  • Sophomore Sean Murdock recorded a 21st-place finish with a time of 31:49.4.
