Carpenter leads Men’s Cross Country at OAC Championship

Sophomore Chance Carpenter registered an 8K time of 28:55.7 to lead the Muskingum men's cross country team at the OAC Championship.

The Course

  • Muskingum hosted the event at Moorehead Farm in New Concord, Ohio.
  • The event was an 8K race.
  • The Muskies tallied 271 points to finish ninth out of 10 teams.
  • John Carroll claimed the team title with a score of 40. Alex Phillip of John Carroll won the individual title with a time of 25:06.2. 

How it Happened

  • Sophomore Chance Carpenter tallied a time of 28:55.7 to finish in 65th and lead the Muskies.
  • Sophomore Max McAdams registered a time of 29:35.5 for 82nd place, while sophomore Shane Funk finished with a pace of 30:46.6 for 106th.
  • Freshman Ryan Cummins nailed down a time of 33:00.2 for Muskingum, while freshman Korey Kakascik turned in a time of 33:58.6.
  • Freshman Michael Javorsky finished with a time of 34:08.0 for the Muskies, while sophomore JJ Poiry tallied a time of 34:53.0.
  • Freshman Parker Graf ended with a time of 35:41.3, while sophomore David McDonald rounded out the Muskie finishers with a time of 39:11.5.
