Nick Despot and Blake Weidner paced Muskingum at the Muskie Duals on Saturday in McConagah Stadium. The Muskies posted a 5-2 record in the dual-format scoring.
Muskingum was paced by Nick Despot and Blake Weidner who both registered first-place finishes. Despot took first in the javelin with a throw of 148-1. Weidner finished first in the high jump with a leap of 6-6.
Jeff Burkholder claimed second in the shot put with a heave of 45-8 and placed fourth in the discus with a mark of 130-7. Andre Buffington took fourth in the hammer throw with a toss of 137-7.
Muskingum's 4x100 squad of Jimmy Glaze, Tristen Murphy, Noah Lopez and Desmond Waden placed third with a time of 46.16. Zachary Fuhrer finished fourth in the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:01.93.
The event featured Muskingum, St. Vincent, Shawnee State, Washington & Jefferson, Wittenberg, Point Park, Ohio Northern and John Carroll.
Muskingum next hosts the Amy Adams Memorial on Friday, March 24 and Saturday, March 25.
