The Muskingum men's track & field team had strong performances in the field and on the track en route to winning the Muskie Invitational on Saturday.

The Basics

• Location: Johnson Family Track in McConagha Stadium
• Results: Muskingum scored 203.5 points to finish first in the four-team field.

The Performances

• Chris Lardie finished first in the men's triple jump with a distance of 41-1.5.
• Andre Buffington finished second in the men's hammer throw with a distance of 129-03.
• Blake Weidner finished second in the men's triple jump with a distance of 38-1.5. He also finished second in the men's high jump with a distance of 5-8.75.
• Jordan Wallace finished first in the men's high jump with a distance of 5-10.75.
• Damon Blystone finished third in the men's javelin throw with a distance of 126-3.
• Justin Marthaler finished second in the men's javelin throw with a distance of 144-5.
• Nick Despot finished first in the men's javelin throw with a distance of 157-5.
• Jeffrey Burkholder finished second in the men's shot put with a distance of 47-1 ft. He also placed third in the men's discus throw with a distance of 126-10.
• Zachary Fuhrer finished second in the men's 110-meter hurdles with a time of 18.29 and third in the men's 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:01.08.
• Edward Harrison finished second in the men's long jump with a distance of 18-4.25 ft.
• Darren McCaughan finished first in the men's long jump with a distance of 20-5.75 and finished second in the men's 100-meter dash with a time of 11.89.
• Anthony Kall finished second in the men's 1500-meter run with a time of 4:41.15.
• Andrew Murray finished first in the men's 1500-meter run with a time of 4:37.68.
• Joe Malone finished third in the men's 400-meter dash with a time of 53.78.
• Fred Stinson finished second in the men's 400-meter dash with a time of 53.28.
• Desmond Waden finished first in the men's 100-meter dash with a time of 11.88.
• Andrew Murray finished third in the men's 800-meter run with a time of 2:20.44.
• Corey Dillon finished first in the men's 800-meter run with a time of 2:08.87.

All-Ohio Men's Decathlon:

• Darrell Briggs finished first in the men's high jump with a height of 5-8 ft. He also finished second in the long jump with a distance of 6.06m and second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 53.64. He finished third in the men's 100-meter dash with a time of 12.02.

• The decathlon will conclude on Sunday, April 11. As a team, Muskingum next competes at the All-Ohio Championships at Ohio Wesleyan on Saturday, April 16.
