Irwin sets school record as Men's Indoor Track & Field host Muskie Meet #3

The Muskingum men's indoor track & field team hosted the Muskie Meet #3 in the Bullock Health and Wellness Complex. Headlining the Muskies was junior Ryan Irwin who set a school record in the 60 meter hurdles. The Muskies finished with 56 points and a fifth place finish.

Notables

  • Junior Ryan Irwin broke the indoor record for the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.41. Irwin held the record previously after running a 8.447 at the Case Western Invitational last season.

On the Track

  • Junior Ryan Irwin set the indoor school record in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.41.
  • Junior Elijah Kuklica placed fourth in the 400 meters with a time of 52.15.
  • Senior Doudley Jaboin secured a sixth place finish in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.32.
  • Irwin added to his day with a seventh place finish in the 60 meter dash after recording a time of 7.33.
  • Jaboin also logged an eighth place finish in the 200 meter with a time of 23.84.

On the Field

  • Sophomore Thomas Christman secured a first place finish in the long jump event with a mark of 6.31 meters.
  • Christman added a first place finish in the high jump with a mark of 1.90 meters.
  • Sophomore William Jackson finished in first place in the weight throw with a mark of 15.33 meters.
  • Freshman Nathan Thomas placed seventh in the shot put with a mark of 13.51 meters.
  • Sophomore Broderick Baumbusch secured a fifth place finish in pole vault with a mark of 3.05 meters.

Up Next

  • The Muskies will be back in action on Saturday, February 8 when they compete in the Bob Shannon Invitational. The event is hosted by Denison University and is set to take place inside the Mitchell Fieldhouse in Granville, Ohio.
