Men's Track and Field finished fifth at the Bob Shannon Invitational behind strong performances from freshman Daven Gibson, sophomore Trey Gastrich, and sophomore Ryan Irwin.
The Basics
- Location: Granville, Ohio - Mitchell Fieldhouse
- Muskingum scored 54 points as a team to finish fifth out of nine teams.
On the Track
- Sophomore Ryan Irwin earned a second place finish in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.61.
- The 4x200-meter team of sophomore Trey Gastrich, sophomore Ryan Irwin, sophomore Noah Mitchell, and junior Colton Whyte finish in fourth with a time of 1:33.54
- The Distance Medley team of junior Shane Funk, junior Chance Carpenter, sophomore Korey Kakascik, and freshman James Jackson finish in fifth place after recording a time of 11:45.60.
- Freshman Cooper Bell finished sixth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.26.
- Junior Doudley Jaboin ran a 54.07 in the 400-meter dash and finished seventh.
In the Field
- Freshman Daven Gibson hit a mark of 2.00 meters in the High Jump to come away with a win in the event.
- Sophomore Trey Gastrich secured a second place finish in the Long Jump with a mark of 6.43 meters.
- Freshman Thomas Christman earned a fourth place finish in the Long Jump with a mark of 6.04 meters. Christman also finished seventh in the High Jump with a 1.80 meter mark.
- Freshman William Jackson recorded a throw of 13.87 meters in the Weight Throw to finish fifth.
- Sophomore Noah Mitchell finished in seventh place in the Triple Jump with a mark of 11.51 meters.
