Men’s Indoor Track and Field places fourth at Bob Shannon Invitational

The Muskingum Men's Indoor Track and Field team placed fourth out of a seven-team field at the Bob Shannon Invitational.

 The Basics

  • Location: Mitchell Fieldhouse – Granville, Ohio
  • Muskingum finished with a total of 92 points.
  • Denison won the team title, racking up an overall total of 181.5.

 On the Track

  • Sophomore Colton Whyte secured a first-place finish in the 400-meter with a time of 51.09.
  • The 4x200-meter relay team of freshman Ryan Irwin, Colton Wyte, junior Hasson Williams, and freshman Keaton Naufzinger tallied a second-place finish with a time of 1:34.90.
  • In the one mile, sophomore Max Adams ran a time of 4:48.15 to notch a third-place finish.
  • Ryan Irwin tallied a fourth-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles with a mark of 8.73, while also placing sixth in the 200-meter with a time of 23.71. 
  •  Hasson Williams finished fifth with a time of 8.77 in the 60-meter dash.
  •  The Distance Medley team of Max Adams, sophomore Cameron Scott, sophomore Shane Funk, and junior Wade Speeth finished with a time of 11:48.99 to place fifth.

 In the Field

  • Freshman Noah Mitchell captured first-place in the Triple jump with a mark of 12.85 meters.
  • Senior Tristan Makowski tallied a first-place finish in the Shot put with a heave of 14.73 meters, while also finishing third in the Weight Throw with a mark of 13.82.
  • Senior Daniel Odette-Spillner tallied a distance of 13.24 meters in the Weight Throw to place fourth.
  • In the Long Jump, junior Julian Anderson leaped a mark of 6.08 meters to finish fifth, while Colton Whyte placed seventh with a mark of 5.94 meters.

 

Up Next

Muskingum next competes at the All-Ohio Meet on Saturday, February 11. The event is hosted by Wittenberg and is set for a 12:00 p.m. start.
