The Muskingum men's Indoor Track and Field team competed in the third Muskingum meet of the year on Saturday inside the Bullock Health and Wellness Complex.
The Basics
- Location: Bullock Health and Wellness Complex – New Concord, Ohio
- Muskingum finished seventh out of a 10-team field.
- The Muskies finished with a total of 45 points.
- Ohio Northern won the team title with an overall total of 162.5.
On the Track
- In the 400-meters, sophomore Colton Whyte notched a time of 50.72 to finish second.
- The 4x200-meter relay team of freshman Trey Gastrich, Colton Wyte, junior Hasson Williams, and freshman Ryan Irwin finished second with a time of 1:36.89.
- Junior Wade Speeth placed fourth in the 5000-meter with a mark of 15:45.18, while sophomore Chance Carpenter ran a time of 16:55.10 to finish 10th.
- Freshman Ryan Irwin notched a time of 8.73 in the 60-meter hurdles, while junior Hasson Williams finished behind him in fifth with a time of 8.84.
- The 4x400-meter relay team of Colton Whyte, sophomore Max McAdams, sophomore Cameron Scott, and freshman Kysen Gabriel finished eighth with a time of 3:39.40.
In the Field
- In the Triple Jump, freshman Noah Mitchell tallied a mark of 12.24 meters to finish sixth.
- Senior Tristan Makowski placed sixth in the Shot Put with a mark of 13.80 meters, while senior Daniel Odette-Spillner threw 13.31 meters to finish eighth.
- Makowski also finished seventh with a mark of 14.54 meters in the Weight Throw.
Up Next
- Muskingum next competes on Saturday, February 4, when they travel to Granville to compete in the Bob Shannon Invitational. The event is hosted by Denison and is set to take place inside the Mitchell Fieldhouse at 11:00 A.M.
