The Muskingum Men's soccer team celebrated their faculty and staff appreciation game against 21st-ranked Ohio Northern on Saturday evening. The Muskies fell to the Polar Bears, 6-0.

• At halftime, the Muskingum Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and the men's soccer program honored staff and faculty for their endless support to Muskingum Athletics.

How it Happened

• The Polar Bears took a 1-0 lead in the 5th minute off a penalty kick and added a second tally in the 38th minute to head into the break with a 2-0 edge.
• Ohio Northern tallied four goals in the second frame to complete the scoring.

 Inside the Numbers 

• Junior Mahfuz Yakubu and junior Morgan McKenna ended the contest with one shot apiece.
• Freshman goalkeeper Caden Groff saw 74 minutes of action in the frame and notched four saves.
• Freshman Evan Laraba played 16 minutes between the pipes and added three saves.
• Gavin Marshall registered two goals to lead the Polar Bear offense.

• Muskingum will be back in action on Wednesday, October 26, when they host OAC opponent Wilmington in its Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Muskie Pride game presented by Buffalo Wild Wings. The game is set for 7:00 p.m. at the North Athletic Turf Field.
