The Muskingum men's soccer team lost 5-3 against Franciscan on a wet Saturday afternoon in McConagha Stadium.

The Basics

How It Happened

  • Muskingum senior Brett Hanna led the Muskie attack with two goals. Hanna tied the game at 1-1 on a penalty kick in the 44th minute and added his second tally in the 50th minute to give the Muskies a 2-1 lead. Hanna ended the game with four shots, all on frame.
  • Freshamn Chase Michael Hilliard scored his second goal of the season in the 72nd minute to tie the game at 3-3. Chase-Hilliard also logged an assist.
  • Junior Zach Schmauch recorded two assists both on long throws to the box.
  • Freshman Gage Toy and junior Kyle Baker each added three shots.
  • Muskingum ended the outing with 18 shots and five corner kicks.
  • Franciscan used a four-goal outburst in the second half to seal the win.
  • The Barons scored the final two goals in the 75th and 90th minutes.
  • Leo Herrmann and John Imbimbo each scored two goals to led the Barons.
  • Franciscan ended the game with 16 shots and five corner kicks.

Between The Pipes

  • Muskie sophomore Josh Routte started the game and played the opening 15 minutes and allowed one goal and made two saves before exiting the game. Freshman Colin Federer played 61 minutes and allowed three goals before leaving the contest. Freshman Gabriel Kral played the final 14 minutes and allowed one goal.
  • Edward Huber played all 90 minutes for the Barons and made five saves and allowed three goals.
