Ohio Northern scored four second half goals en route to beating Muskingum on Friday afternoon, 5-0. The outing marked the final contest for seniors Will Hess and Vinnny Buzzetta.

Muskingum ends its season with a 5-13-1 overall record and 0-8-1 mark in the Ohio Athletic Conference.

Ohio Northern (16-3, 8-1) led 1-0 at the break behind a goal in the 19th minute by Austin Horton.

In the second frame, the Polar Bears used a 20-minute surge to score four goals to complete the scoring.

Junior John Barr led the Muskies with four shots, while freshman Liam Roche added two strikes. Freshman Andreas Pfefferkorn, freshman Cody Sprague and junior Eric Riley all added one shot each.

Hess played the opening 60 minutes in goal and recorded six saves and allowed one goal. Freshman Matthias Buchner played the final 30 minutes in frame and made one save and allowed four goals.

Ohio Northern's Evan Bader made one save to register the shutout.
