Men’s Lacrosse opens up OAC play against Otterbein

The Muskingum men's lacrosse team opened its Ohio Athletic Conference play against Otterbein on Saturday afternoon. The Muskies fell to the Cardinals, 9-7.

The Basics

  • Records: Muskingum (6-2 Overall, 0-1 OAC), Otterbein (4-3 Overall, 1-0 OAC)
  • Location: Memorial Stadium – Westerville, Ohio

Inside the Numbers

  • The Muskies recorded seven goals, three assists, 51 shots, 27 ground balls, 11 caused turnovers, and 14 saves.
  • Freshman Evan Cosgrove led the Muskies with two goals, while grabbing three ground balls. Cosgrove had five shots on goal.
  • Senior Spencer Zecchini helped fuel the offense with two goals, with one ground ball. Zecchini had nine shots on goal
  • Junior Drew Davis kept pace with the offense with a goal and an assist. Davis also picked up a ground ball.
  • Senior Jack Watts earned a goal for the Muskies. Watts had three shots on goal.
  • Senior Austin Stobbs finished with an assist and a ground ball.
  • Junior Drew Schneider went 8-for-19 (42.1%) on face-offs with five ground balls and a goal.
  • Senior Trevor Connolly stood in goal. Connolly finished with 14 saves and four ground balls
