How it Happened

• After Heidelberg tallied the opening goal of the game, Muskingum managed to battle back and score two of their own and lead 2-1 after the opening frame.
• Riding their momentum, the Muskies dominated the second quarter, outscoring the Student Princes 4-0 to take a 6-1 lead into the halftime break.
• Muskingum continued their stellar play in the third quarter, pouring in eight more goals to extend their lead to 14-1 heading into the final quarter.
• Muskingum tallied two more goals to open the fourth quarter, pushing their streak to 16 unanswered goals spanning across all four quarters. Heidelberg eventually broke the Muskie run with a goal of their own midway through the frame. Muskingum tacked on another goal late in the game to push the score to 17-2.

Inside the Numbers

• Muskingum was led by junior Grant Webster who tallied a game-high four goals on the day.
• Junior Spencer Zecchini netted three goals of his own and grabbed six ground balls, while freshman Tyler Workman finished with two goals and four ground balls.
• Senior Anthony Mazzagatti registered two goals and four ground balls, while sophomore Drew Schneider finished with a game-high 11 ground balls.
• Senior Maxwell Pezzot, senior Griffin Holiga, junior Travis Geyer, sophomore Jackson D'Amico, sophomore Drew Davis, and freshman Josh Nowak each tallied one goal for the muskies as well. Nowak's goal was the first of his collegiate career.
• Junior Trevor Connolly earns his fifth win in net for the Muskies with four saves, while freshman Jeremy Hollow also tallied four saves off the bench for Muskingum.
• Heidelberg was led by Tyler Alexander and Benjamin Evans with one goal each.
