The Muskingum men's lacrosse team used 16 unanswered goals to rout Heidelberg 17-2 on Senior Day.

How it Happened

  • After Heidelberg tallied the opening goal of the game, Muskingum managed to battle back and score two of their own and lead 2-1 after the opening frame.
  • Riding their momentum, the Muskies dominated the second quarter, outscoring the Student Princes 4-0 to take a 6-1 lead into the halftime break.
  • Muskingum continued their stellar play in the third quarter, pouring in eight more goals to extend their lead to 14-1 heading into the final quarter.
  • Muskingum tallied two more goals to open the fourth quarter, pushing their streak to 16 unanswered goals spanning across all four quarters. Heidelberg eventually broke the Muskie run with a goal of their own midway through the frame. Muskingum tacked on another goal late in the game to push the score to 17-2.
