The Muskingum men's golf team started spring season off with a eighth-place finish at the Mount Union Spring Invitational. The event was held at Tannenhauf Golf Club.
The Basics
- The event was held at Tannenhauf Golf Club.
- Muskingum finished the tournament in eighth place.
- As a team, the Muskies shot 652 (333-319).
- John Carroll won the event with a 595 (303-292).
On The Course
- Sophomore David Link Jr. led the Muskies with a 157 (79-78). Link Jr. finished with six birdies in his round.
- Freshman Isaac Warner logged a 161 (81-80) to pace the Muskies. Warner added three birdies over the two-day event. He also recorded a 36 on his last nine holes of the tournament.
- Senior Riley Norris finished with a 167 (87-80). Norris tallied two birdies.
- Senior Collin Deibel tallied a 168 (87-81). Deibel's best stretch of golf came from on day two where he recorded five pars in a row on hole nine through hole 13.
- Senior Sam Shoults rounded out the Muskies with a 190 (86-84). Shoults added one birdie and went on a par streak on his last nine of the weekend. He pared six holes in a row before bogeying the final hole of the day.
Up Next
- The Muskies will be back in action on Sunday, March 30 when they host the Muskingum Invitational at Eaglesticks Golf Club. The tournament will be a two-day event.
