The Muskingum men's golf team finished fifth in the seven-team field at the Heidelberg Invitational on Saturday-Sunday.
The Basics
- Muskingum shot a two-day total of 647 (315-332).
- The invitational was played at the Mohawk Golf and Country Club in Tiffin, Ohio.
- The course was a par 72 and 6702 yards long.
- Heidelberg hosted the event.
On The Course
- Sophomore Jacob Van Leeuwen led the Muskies with a 153 (76-77) to finish sixth in the 51-golfer field. It marked the second straight week that Van Leeuwen carded a 153.
- Junior Luke Janci finished tied for 25th with a 162 (82-80). Janci also shot a 162 last weekend.
- Freshman Andy Cornell shot a 163 (79-84) to finish tied for 29th.
- Freshman Josh Faulkner shot a 170 (83-87) to finish tied for 39th.
- Junior Erik Allbright rounded out the Muskie team scoring with a 173 (82-91) to place 45th.
- Ohio Northern won the team title with a 607 (305-302).
- Tyler Davis of Ohio Northern won medalist honors with a 144 (72-74).
