Men’s Bowling finishes second in OBC Final Team Standings

The Muskingum Men's Bowling team finished second in the Ohio Bowling Conference (OBC) during the 2022-23 season. The OBC is a collegiate bowling conference that was formed to provide Ohio institutions and others in the surrounding area, a quality season and wide-range of competition without extensive travel costs.

OBC Team Championships

  • As a team, Muskingum has won two OBC Team Championships.
  • Muskingum won Ohio Bowling Conference Tournament #1 with a total pinfall of 7019.
  • Muskingum also won Ohio Bowling Conference Tournament #5 with a total pinfall of 7805.

 OBC Individual Honors

  • Sophomore Evan Thro rolled a school record and OBC high four-game series of 1021 (226-216-279-300) during OBC Tournament #2. Thro's fourth game saw him roll a perfect 300, the first perfect game of the 2022-23 season in the OBC.
  • Junior Ethan McDonald and Evan Thro both tabbed First-Team All-OBC honors.
  • Freshman Brody Wildenmann earned Second Team All-OBC accolades and was also named to the All-Freshman Team.

The top point-earning Ohio Bowling Conference performance for the team this season happened at the highly competitive OBC Tournament #5 hosted at the Columbus Square Bowling Palace. The Muskies won the 16 team tournament earning 166 points toward their season total.
