Men’s Bowling ranked third Nationally in Collegiate Club standings

The Muskingum men's bowling team was ranked third out of 42 teams in the Collegiate Club National rankings.

Muskingum has competed in a total of 11 tournaments this season, with four of them marked as Tier-one events. The Muskies have finished first in four tier-two tournaments while also tallying three top-10 finishes in Tier-one tournaments.

As a team, Muskingum continues to have a solid season, collecting four team championships while also having three bowlers crowned as Individual champions. The Muskies won a season-opening Welcome Back Tournament in Columbus, the opening Ohio Bowling Conference Tournament in Columbus, the Muskie Mash in Coshocton, and the final Ohio Bowling Conference Tournament of the year in Columbus.

The top point-earning performance for the team this season happened at the highly competitive USBC Tier 1 Kegel ISBPA Midwest Collegiate Classic in Addison, Illinois. The Muskies finished second of 71 teams, earning 314 points toward their season total.

Last weekend, at an Ohio Bowling Conference tournament, the Muskies secured their fourth tournament title of the season with an overall pinfall of 7805 and saw four bowlers earn All-OBC honors.

Sophomore Evan Thro led the Muskies with a five-game series of 1152 to finish second out of a 145-bowler field. Thro's second-place finish saw him land a spot on the All-Tournament team and earn 1st Team All-OBC honors.

Junior Andrew Amore notched a fifth-place finish with a five-game series of 1078. Amore was named to the All-Tournament team as well.

Junior Ethan McDonald also earned 1st Team All-OBC honors after finishing seventh with a five-game series of 1076.
