Veal leads men’s bowling with 2nd-place finish at OBC event

Freshman Justin Veal led the Muskies with a 2nd-place finish in the 70-bowler field to lift the Muskingum men's bowling team to a second-place finish in a 14-team field at an Ohio Bowling Conference event held at Palace in Columbus on Saturday.

Veal bowled an 818 series (170-181-225-242) and averaged 204.5 per game.

Sophomore Ethan McDonald carded a 748 series (163-206-203-176) to finish 13th. He averaged a 187 per game.

Freshman Evan Thro placed 16th with a 744 (166-188-210-180).

Junior Alberto Dunlap bowled a 711 (155-211-149-196) to place 21st, and sophomore James McConnaughey bowled a 588 (184-200-204) to place 53rd to round out the Muskie effort.

Muskingum returns to action on Saturday, October 23, at an Ohio Bowling Conference event at HP Lanes in Columbus.
