Men's Bowling takes second to advance in OBC Championships

The Muskingum men's bowling team took second place out a nine-team field at the OBC Championships qualifying round on Saturday afternoon. The team advances to the single elimination bracket play of the OBC Championships.

Notables

  • Freshman Ethan McDonald was named 2nd-team All-OBC and earned All-OBC Freshman Team honors. McDonald was also named Ohio Bowling Conference Newcomer of the Year.
  • Freshman Andrew Amore was named Honorable Mention All-OBC and earned the OBC Champions of Character award.

Leading the Muskies was freshman Andrew Amore who placed ninth in the 71-bowler field with a three game series 571 (187-195-189). He averaged a 190.3 per game. Freshman Ethan McDonald finished in 12th with a 568 (151-233-184) and averaged 189.3 per game. Junior Joshua Hoffer placed 16th with a score of 550 (172-165-213). He averaged a 183.3 per game.

Junior John David Bushong finished in 22nd with a score of 526 (149-194-183) and averaged 175.3 per game. Freshman Michael McConnaughey placed 25th with score of 521 (167-188-166). He averaged 173.7 per game. Sophomore John Hardesty grabbed 38th with a 480 (155-146-179) and averaged 160 per game.
