Men's Bowling finishes third at season-opening tournament

The Muskingum men's bowling team opened its season with a third-place finish in the nine-team field at HP Lanes in Columbus. The Ohio Bowling Conference hosted the event.

Leading the Muskies was freshman James McConnaughey who placed sixth in the 87-bowler field with a three-game series 616 (202-183-231). He averaged 205.3 per game. Freshman Ethan McDonald finished eighth with a 611 (179-178-254). McDonald averaged 203.7. Freshman Andrew Amore placed 21st with a 549 (178-191-180) en route to averaging 183. 

Junior Daniel Odette-Spillner and freshman Michael McConnaughey rounded out the strong Muskie effort. Odette-Spillner placed 27th with a 531 (164-214-153 177 average), and McConnaughey finished 31st with a 502 (178-180-144  167.3 average).

Muskingum next competes at the Muskie Mash at Tiki Lanes in Lancaster on Saturday, February 6.
