Masinelli elected to College Basketball All-Star Game

Senior Alex Masinelli has been selected to participate in the 2022 College Basketball All-Star Game held at Nationwide Arena.

The College Basketball All-Star game features the top collegiate basketball players from Ohio institutions up against the top seniors from Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCUs) from around the country. The event provides players with the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of professional scouts, as well as thousands of fans.

This season, Masinelli has enjoyed career-high averages in points per game with 20.6, rebounds per game with 7.0, and assists per game with 3.5. Masinelli's 20.6 points per game ranks him first in the Ohio Athletic Conference, all while shooting 48.7% from the field this year. Masinelli's outstanding season was highlighted by a career-high 43-point performance versus Lynchburg on December 29 at the E.M. "Mose" Hole/Wooster Kiwanis Tournament. For his efforts, Masinelli was recognized as the OAC Player of the Week and was named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week.

The 2022 College Basketball All-Star Game will be held at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio on Saturday, April 23. Game time is yet to be announced.
