The Muskingum men's basketball team fell short vs. Wilmington despite a furious second-half rally.
The Basics

How it Happened
- After falling behind 21-5 early in the first-half, the Muskies battled back to cut the Quaker lead down to 32-25 with just under five minutes remaining until the break.
- Weathering the Muskies' run, Wilmington hung onto a 44-34 lead heading into halftime.
- Out of the break, Wilmington used a 13-2 run to open the half, and extended their lead to 57-26.
- Wilmington maintained their double-digit lead through the majority of the second half, and held a 67-50 lead with just under eight minutes remaining.
- However, the Muskies proceeded to use a 22-6 run and trim the Quaker lead to just one point with 36 seconds remaining.
- Despite storming back, Wilmington was able to hang on for their 77-73 victory.
Inside the Numbers
- The Muskies were led by senior Alex Masinelli who poured in a game-high 31 points to go along with his team-high eight rebounds.
- Freshman DJ Donnell also got into double-figures with 11 points, while freshman Mason Purvis added a career-high nine points for Muskingum.
- Sophomore Bradley Russell also chipped in nine points for the Muskies, while adding six rebounds as well.
- The Quakers were led by Noah Dado with 17 points.
- On the night, Muskingum shot 26-of-62 (41.9%) from the field, while Wilmington went 23-of-50 (46%).
- From the three-point line, Muskingum went 7-of-19 (36.8%) while the Quakers shot 10-of-24 (41.7%).
