Muskingum senior guard Alex Masinelli was recognized on the national level for his outstanding performances at the E.M. "Mose" Hole/Wooster Kiwanis Tournament last week by being named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week.

Masinelli registered a career-high 43 points, six rebounds, and six assists versus Lynchburg last Wednesday, then followed up his outstanding performance with a 13-point, seven-rebound, and six-assist effort in Muskingum's 68-66 win over Wooster on Friday. Masinelli's 43 points place him second all-time for points in a single game in the 58-year history of the E.M. "Mose" Hole/Wooster Kiwanis Tournament. For his efforts, Masinelli was named the tournament MVP.

So far this season, Masinelli has been a dominant force on the court, averaging career-highs in points per game with 19.8, rebounds per game with 6.9, and assists per game with 4.3.
