Mount Union connected on 8-of-8 (1.00) shooting from the free-throw line in the final minute to hand the Muskingum men's basketball team a heartbreaking 85-82 loss on Wednesday night.

• Muskingum finished with five players in double figures.
• Senior Joshua Keyes led the way recording his ninth double-double of the season. Keyes tied a season-best 22 points and pulled down 14 rebounds.
• Sophomore Jarrell Marsh added 17 points and dished out three assists.
• Freshman Marcus Dempsey chipped in 15 points on 4-of-9 (.444) shooting from the floor.
• Senior Joshua Glass and sophomore Jalen Paige finished with 10 points each.

• Mount Union was led by JJ Kukura and DeAllen Jackson with 20 points each.
• The Purple Raiders edged the Muskies in rebounds by a 28-25 margin.

Game Notes

• Muskingum opened the contest red hot taking the 17-4 advantage at the 15:07 mark in the first-half.
• Mount Union gradually chipped away at the lead cutting the deficit to 43-41 at the break.
• The two teams exchanged points for much of the second-half before the Purple Raiders captured the lead for good with 5:15 remaining, 68-66.
• The contest was tied on five different occasions and saw five lead changes.
