Mount Union connected on 8-of-8 (1.00) shooting from the free-throw line in the final minute to hand the Muskingum men's basketball team a heartbreaking 85-82 loss on Wednesday night.
The Basics
- Records: Muskingum (10-6 overall, 4-5 OAC), Mount Union (11-5 overall, 6-3 OAC)

Inside the Numbers
- Muskingum finished with five players in double figures.
- Senior Joshua Keyes led the way recording his ninth double-double of the season. Keyes tied a season-best 22 points and pulled down 14 rebounds.
- Sophomore Jarrell Marsh added 17 points and dished out three assists.
- Freshman Marcus Dempsey chipped in 15 points on 4-of-9 (.444) shooting from the floor.
- Senior Joshua Glass and sophomore Jalen Paige finished with 10 points each.
- As a team, Muskingum shot 27-for-50 (.540) from field, including eight three-pointers.
- Mount Union was led by JJ Kukura and DeAllen Jackson with 20 points each.
- The Purple Raiders edged the Muskies in rebounds by a 28-25 margin.
Game Notes
- Muskingum opened the contest red hot taking the 17-4 advantage at the 15:07 mark in the first-half.
- Mount Union gradually chipped away at the lead cutting the deficit to 43-41 at the break.
- The two teams exchanged points for much of the second-half before the Purple Raiders captured the lead for good with 5:15 remaining, 68-66.
- The contest was tied on five different occasions and saw five lead changes.
