Men's basketball suffers heartbreak in final minute

Wilmington erased a 10-point deficit in the final 1:26 of play to hand the Muskingum men's basketball team a heartbreaking 80-79 loss on Wednesday night.

The Basics

OAC Tournament

  • With the loss, Muskingum now sits in ninth place in the Ohio Athletic Conference. For the Muskies to make the OAC Tournament, which is reserved for the top eight teams in the league, Muskingum must beat John Carroll in University Heights on Saturday and have Wilmington lose at Mount Union on Saturday. Tournament action begins on Tuesday, February 23.

  • Junior Joshua Keyes had 11 rebounds and nine points.
