Men's Basketball routs Franciscan to open 2015

The Muskingum men's basketball team routed Franciscan to open the new year on Saturday afternoon, 71-53.

Senior Logan Kimble led the Muskies with a game-high 24 points. He also registered four rebounds, three steals and two assists.

Sophomore Joshua Glass added 17 points and junior Christian Keller had 14 points.

Junior Cody Seiler grabbed a team-best six rebounds, with nine points.

Muskingum (4-7) ended the game shooting .444 (28-of-63) from the field and held a 34-12 advantage in points in the paint.

Franciscan (2-7) was paced by Jacob Divens, who scored 13 points. Keoni Sablan added 10 points.

The Barons shot .327 (17-of-52) from the floor.

Muskingum held Franciscan to just eight points through the opening 10 minutes of play en route to taking a 17-8 lead. The Muskies led 29-18 at the break.

In the second half, Muskingum continued to control the outing and led by as many as 23 late in the contest.

Muskingum next travels to Case Western on Wednesday, January 7. Game time is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
