Edward Reny was named offensive line coach and strength & conditioning coach for the Muskingum football program in the summer of 2020. Reny currently serves as the Offensive Line/Tight Ends Coach/Run Game Coordinator and Strength & Conditioning Coordinator.

2021 saw Reny help lead the Muskies to a five-win season, the most wins in a season since the 2003 campaign, and the first top half finish in the OAC standings since 2009. In 2022, Reny and the Muskies achieved the program's second straight five-win season. This marked the first time the program finished with five wins in back-to-back years since 1995 and 1996. Muskingum earned victories over Waynesburg, Ohio Northern, Wilmington, Otterbein, and Capital en route to their outstanding year. Muskingum's 62-14 win over Wilmington marked the most points the program had scored in a single game since 1960. With the win, the Muskies also extended their winning streak against the Quakers to 12 games. Muskingum's win over Ohio Northern also marked the program's first victory over the Polar Bears since the 2011 season.

Reny arrived in New Concord after previously serving as the tight ends coach at Valparaiso University.

He is a graduate of Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan (B.A. in marketing and M.B.A in marketing and sports and entertainment management), where he played offensive line for the Warriors and was a four-year letterwinner for the football program. Reny was a three-year GLIAC All-Academic Team member and played in 32 games over his four seasons at Wayne State.

Reny also served as a graduate assistant for two years at Wayne State coaching the offensive line and tight ends where he helped mentor two First-Team All-GLIAC selections along with the WSU Offensive Rookie of the Year.
