Malone and Meyers named OAC Football Players of the Week

The Ohio Athletic Conference has announced that Muskingum senior defensive lineman Toleo Malone and junior kicker Aaron Meyers have been named OAC Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Week, respectively.

Malone, the OAC Defensive Player of the Week, tallied 10 tackles, 2.5 tackles-for-loss, and forced and recovered one fumble in the matchup with Otterbein. This stout defensive performance helped the Muskies hold the Cardinals to just seven points in the game.

Meyers, the OAC Special Teams Player of the Week, fired off a 40-yard field goal, was 3-for-3 on extra point attempts, and averaged 41.5 yards per punt. Meyers was also responsible for flipping the field by putting the Cardinals deep on their own side of the field with two punts being downed inside 20-yard line.

The win over the Cradinals improved the Muskies to 2-0 on the year.
