Garrett named OAC Offensive Player of the Week

The Ohio Athletic Conference has announced that senior quarterback Jordan Garrett was named the Offensive Player of the Week for his outstanding performance in Muskingum's 27-13 win over Wilmington last Saturday.

Garrett finished 13-20 on passing attempts and racked up 230 passing yards against the Quakers to help lead Muskingum to the victory. Garrett tallied four total touchdowns on the day, and he also added 27 rushing yards as well. With the win over Wilmington, Muskingum secured their second straight five-win season. This is the first time Muskingum has had back-to-back five-win seasons since 1995 and 1996. This marks the second time Garrett has been named the OAC Offensive Player of the Week this season, and it's the fifth time he's earned the honor in his career.

Earlier this year, Garrett became Muskingum's all-time leader in passing yards for a career. Garrett now has 5,536 passing yards after the win against Wilmington, and he will look to add to that total as Muskingum wraps-up the regular season against Marietta on Saturday, November 12. The annual Shriner Game against the Pioneers will kick off at 1:30 p.m. from the Bullock Health and Wellness Complex, and Senior Day festivities will begin at 12:00 p.m.
