The Muskingum football team went toe-to-toe with 22nd-ranked John Carroll on Saturday afternoon in University Heights. The Blue Streaks used a late second-half surge to pull away from the Muskies en route to a 29-7 win.

- Muskie senior defensive back Cortez McGinnis gave Muskingum an early 7-0 lead in the first quarter with an 86-yard interception return for a touchdown.
- John Carroll tied the game at the 3:54 mark of the opening frame on an eight-yard touchdown pass from Jake Floriea to Kenny Cross.

- Sophomore kicker Collin Scozzafava booted a career-best 70-yard punt and averaged 46.7 yards per punt with one inside the 20 and two fair catches.
- Floriea passed for 196 yards and one score.
- Matthew Busser led the ground attack with 111 yards rushing on 11 carries.
- Keyshawn Colmon had five receptions for 61 yards.
- Tyshawn Jones and Brian Robinson each had six tackles.
