Otterbein scored the final 14 points of the fourth quarter to rally past Muskingum on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in McConagha Stadium. The Cardinals left New Concord with a 30-17 Ohio Athletic Conference win.

How It Happened
- Muskingum senior quarterback Griffin Degener hit sophomore tight end Granger Long for an 18-yard touchdown pass in the opening seconds of the fourth quarter to tie the game at 17-17. The score capped off a seven-play, 85-yard drive.
- Otterbein responded with a 12-play, 79-yard drive that ended with Logan Stepp scoring on a one-yard run. The Cardinals missed the extra point and took a 23-17 lead with 6:29 to play.
- The Muskies drove the ball to the Otterbein 20 until three straight incompletions ended the drive.
- Otterbein took over possession with 3:08 on the clock and sealed the road win when Isaiah Richmond rushed up the middle for a 61-yard touchdown to complete the scoring.
- Muskingum lead 7-0 after taking the opening kickoff of the game and orchestrating an eight-play, 55-yard drive that culminated with Degener scoring on an eight-yard run.
- Otterbein scored the next nine points to take a 9-7 lead early in the second quarter.
- Senior kicker Cody Dent gave the Muskies a 10-9 lead with a 21-yard field goal in the waning seconds of the opening half.
Inside The Muskie Numbers
- Muskingum ended the game with a season-high 376 yards and a season-best 20 first downs.
- Degener led the Muskie offense going 24-of-35 for 250 yards, with one touchdown and one interception. He also added 44 yards rushing and one score.
- Senior running back Jordan Scanlon led the ground game with 74 yards on 18 carries.
- Sophomore tight end Granger Long had a career-high nine receptions for a career-best 129 yards and one touchdown.
- Junior wide out Damon Jones had four grabs for 58 yards.
- Senior linebacker Chaney Fulton logged a team-high 10 stops.
- Junior linebacker Mick Fishel had eight hits, with three tackles for loss.
- Dent narrowly missed setting the school record for longest field when his 52-yard attempt in the third quarter barely missed wide right. The record is held by Jamie Morckel who made a 51-yard field goal against Marietta in 1978.
Inside the Otterbein Numbers
- Otterbein churned out 394 yards of offense and 24 first downs.
- Stepp passed for 137 yards and one touchdown on 11-of-17 passing. He also had one interception. Stepp also rushed for 123 yards and two touchdowns.
- Richmond rushed for 109 yards and one touchdown on 12 totes.
- Julian Lowe paced the receivers with two grabs for 24 yards and one score.
- Steven Carpenter led the defensive effort with a game-high 14 tackles.
- Jalen Liggins added eight stops and one interception.
