The Muskingum baseball team dropped a home non-conference matchup with Oberlin 12-5 on Tuesday afternoon.
The Basics

The Difference
- Muskingum got on the board in the first inning off an RBI ground out from junior Ryan Schwartz. Freshman Sam Palmieri scored on the play.
- In the fourth inning, Muskingum scored two runs including an RBI single from Palmieri to bring junior Quinten Collins home.
- In the sixth, Collins blasted a solo home run to left field, his first homer of the year.
- Muskingum got their final run of the game in the seventh inning off a wild pitch that brought sophomore Tobie Teke home.
Inside the Numbers
- At the plate, Muskingum was led by junior Quinten Collins who finished 2-for-4 with a solo home run and two runs scored.
- Freshman Sam Palmieri finished 1-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored, while junior Ryan Schwartz also finished with an RBI as well.
- Junior Peyton Carr, junior Wyatt Reeder, and sophomore Travis Reynolds all tallied on hit each for Muskingum as well.
- Junior Jaxon Rinkes got the start on the mound for Muskingum. Rinkes tossed two innings and gave up four earned runs.
- Senior Clark Jennings and freshman Nate Johnson each tossed one hitless inning in relief for the Muskies as well.
- Oberlin was led by Max Anastasio who finished 1-for-5 with four RBIs.
