The Muskingum baseball team celebrated Senior Day in OAC home doubleheader action against Baldwin Wallace on Sunday afternoon. The Muskies fell in a hard-fought Game 1 battle, 9-8, and slipped in a close Game 2, 13-11.
Notables:
- Prior to the games, Muskingum honored it's 2021 baseball seniors Holden Martin, Matt Stewart, and Zack Kozerski.

Inside The Numbers - Game 1
- Senior Holden Martin started on the mound for the Muskies and pitched the first five innings. He allowed five runs off seven hits.
- Stewart led the Muskies at the plate with two hits and three RBIs.
- Sophomore Allex Santacroce and Kozerski each added two hits and two RBIs.
- Junior Chayce Lundell notched two hits and one RBI, including a home run.
- Sophomore Devin Ryan chipped in two hits for Muskingum.

The Difference - Game 1
- The Yellow Jackets started the scoring in the third inning with a sacrifice fly from Dudley Taw to make it, 1-0.
- Stewart tied it up 1-1 in the third with an RBI single.
- The Muskies took the lead scoring three runs in the fourth, including a two-run home run from Kozerski to make it, 4-1.
- Baldwin Wallace went on a 4-0 run in the new few innings to take the lead, 5-4.
- In the sixth, Muskingum went on a 4-0 surge to regain the lead, 8-5.
- The Yellow Jackets used another 4-0 run in the eighth to take the lead and finish with the final score, 9-8.
Inside The Numbers - Game 2
- Freshman Jaxon Rinkes started in the circle for Muskingum and pitched the first four innings. He allowed seven runs off nine hits.
- Junior Brett Carson led the Muskies with three hits and two RBIs.
- Lundell added three hits with one RBI and one solo home run.
- Stewart notched two hits and two RBIs, including a solo home run.
- Ryan and freshman Nate Keiser secured two hits and one RBI.
- Freshman Nick Congrove, freshman Ryan Schwartz, and freshman Andy Eurez each earned two hits.
- Sophomore Jake Hymrod added two hits and one RBI, including a solo shot.
- Alexis Castillo and Drew Wilson led Baldwin Wallace with three hits and two RBIs.
- Spencer Berg got the start on the mound for Yellow Jackets and pitched the first four innings. He allowed five runs off ten hits.
The Difference - Game 2
- Baldwin Wallace took an early lead in the first inning scoring two runs to make it, 2-0.
- The Muskies tied it up 2-2 with two runs of their own in the second.
- The Yellow Jackets used a 6-0 run in the next several innings to take an 8-2 lead.
- Muskingum plated three runs in the fifth and two in the sixth to cut the deficit to 8-7.
- Baldwin Wallace earned three runs in the seventh innings to increase their lead, 11-7.
- The Muskies got two runs in the seventh to make it, 11-9.
- Drew Wilson homered in the eighth to increase the Yellow Jackets lead to 12-9.
- Lundell launched a solo homer in the eighth to the deficit to 12-10.
- Baldwin Wallace gained a run in the ninth to make it, 13-10.
- Muskingum scored on a wild pitch to make the score, 13-11, but fell short in the end.
