The Muskingum baseball team slipped to OAC for Ohio Northern in doubleheader action on Saturday afternoon. The Muskies fell in Game 1, 8-1, and in Game 2, 9-7.

Inside The Numbers - Game 1
- Junior Jake Norris got the start on the mound for the Muskies pitching six innings allowing six runs off ten hits.
- Junior Devin Ryan, junior Brett Carson, freshman Ryan Schwartz, junior Sam Pinckert, and freshman Andy Eurez each notched a hit to lead Muskingum at the plate.
- Sophomore Jake Hymrod earned the lone RBI for the Muskies.
- Cheyton Overholt led Ohio Northern with three hits and two RBIs.
- Nate Bye pitched a complete game allowing one run off five hit and notched four strikeouts.
The Difference - Game 1
- Ohio Northern got the scoring started in the second inning off a Nate Webb RBI hit to make it, 1-0.
- The Polar Bears rallied off seven runs in the next several innings to take control of the game, 8-0.
- The Muskies got their lone run in the ninth inning when Hymrod scored Carson to make the final score, 8-1.
Inside The Numbers - Game 2
- Sophomore Brayden Bush started in the circle for the Muskies and pitched seven innings of work. He allowed seven runs off six hits.
- Carson led the Muskies at the plate with three hits and two RBIs.
- Ryan added two hits and three RBIs during the game.
- Schwartz notched two hits.
- Freshman Peyton Carr chipped in one hit and two RBIs for Muskingum.
- Corey McMann led Ohio Northern with two hits and three RBIs.
- Alex Dodson started on the mound for the Polar Bears and pitched the first 2.2 innings. He allowed two runs off two hits.
- Austin Mathews pitched 3.1 innings and earned the win for Ohio Northern.
The Difference - Game 2
- The Polar Bears scored the first two runs of the game in the first inning to take an early, 2-0.
- Muskingum tied it up 2-2 in the third inning off RBI hits from Ryan and Carson.
- Ohio Northern regained the lead scoring three runs on the fourth to make it, 5-2.
- The Polar Bears gained another run in the seventh to increase their lead, 6-2.
- The Muskies scored two runs in the seventh to cut their deficit, 6-4.
- Ohio Northern scored two more runs in the next couple innings to make the score, 9-4.
- Muskingum scored three runs in the ninth but fell short to make the final score, 9-7.
