The Muskingum baseball team fell in a hard-fought battle against #6 Marietta in OAC action on Friday evening, 5-4.

Inside The Numbers
- Junior Jake Norris started on the mound and pitched the first six innings for the Muskies. He allowed five runs off ten hits.
- Sophomore Brayden Bush threw the last three innings and allowed no runs off two hits.
- Sophomore Devin Ryan led the Muskies at the plate with two hits and one RBI.
- Junior Brett Carson added two hits during the contest.
- Freshman Ryan Schwartz chipped in one hit and two RBIs for Muskingum.
- Damian Yenzie led Marietta with three hits and one RBI.

The Difference
- The Muskies started the scoring in the first inning off an RBI double from Ryan to make it, 1-0.
- Marietta took the lead 2-1 off an error from Muskingum in the infield.
- Swartz smacked a two RBI double down the left field line in the fourth to make it, 3-2. The Muskies got another run in the fourth to increase their lead, 4-2.
- The Pioneers regained the lead getting three runs in the fifth inning to secure the win, 5-4.
