The Muskingum baseball team slipped in OAC road doubleheader action against Heidelberg on Sunday afternoon. The Muskies fell in Game 1, 17-3, and in Game 2, 7-3.

Inside The Numbers - Game 1
- Junior Brett Carson started on the mound for the Muskies pitching the first three innings allowing eight runs off nine hits.
- Junior Chayce Lundell led the Muskie offense with one hit and one RBI.
- Senior Matt Stewart, sophomore Devin Ryan, and freshman Nick Congrove each grabbed one hit for Muskingum.
- Deaunte Fleming led Heidelberg at the plate with three hits and six RBIs, including a double, a triple, and a home run.
- Keaton Marks added three hits and four RBIs which included a triple.
- Ryan Hackworth pitched the first 6.1 innings for the Student Princes allowing one run off four hits.
The Difference - Game 1
- Heidelberg took an early lead in the first lead scoring three runs to make it, 3-0.
- The Muskies got on the board in the second off a sacrifice fly from freshman Andy Eurez to cut the deficit, 3-1.
- The Student Princes went to score 14 straight runs in the next several innings to take control of the game.
- Muskingum gained two runs in the seventh inning to make the final score, 17-3.
Inside The Numbers - Game 2
- Senior Holden Martin earned the start in the circle for the Muskies pitching six innings and allowing five runs off ten hits.
- Ryan led the Muskie offense with three hits.
- Lundell, Congrove, and sophomore Allex Santacroce added two hits each during the contest.
- Carson notched one hit and two RBIs for the Muskingum. His hit was the lone home run for the Muskies.
- Fleming and Tyler Smith led Heidelberg with two hits and one RBI.
- Marc Ochoa added one hit with three RBIs.
- Brady Knizer started on the mound for the Student Princes and pitched the first 4.1 innings allowing three runs off ten hits.
The Difference - Game 2
- Heidelberg used a 4-0 run in the first inning to take an early lead.
- Muskingum got two runs in the third off a two-run home run from Carson to make it, 4-2.
- The Student Princes gained another run in the fourth to increase the lead, 5-2.
- The Muskies earned a run in the fifth to cut the deficit to 5-3.
- Heidelberg scored two more runs of an Ochoa two-run homer to give them a 7-3 lead.
