Archery awarded USA Archery and Bass Pro Shops Club 3D Equipment grant

The Muskingum archery program was recently awarded a USA Archery and Bass Pro Shops Club 3D Equipment grant.

The grant will allow Muskingum to expand its equipment and resources available to Muskie student-athletes and to host larger events at the Moorehead Farm Archery Facility. Muskingum will receive a Delta McKenzie 10 Target ASA 3D Mix, which includes the following

1. Black Buck
2. XL Deer
3. Howling Wolf
4. Lynx
5. Strutting Turkey
6. Coyote
7. Hill Country Buck
8. Antelope
9. Hyena
10. Russian Boar

"We are really excited that we were selected to receive this grant from USA Archery and Bass Pro Shops," said Head Coach Craig Holycross. "This equipment will help our team's growth; we will have more opportunities to practice and fine-tune our techniques as well as be able to host larger events."

Muskingum's archery facilities include an outdoor and 3D range at nearby Moorehead Farm and an indoor range on campus at John Glenn Gymnasium. Muskingum is the only school in the Ohio Athletic Conference to field an archery team and one of the lone NCAA schools in the state to offer archery as a varsity sport. Archery, which involves teams representing their institutions at USA Archery-sanctioned events, offers recreational and competitive opportunities for barebow, recurve, compound, and bowhunter divisions.
