Holycross named USA Archery North Region Collegiate Coach of the Year

Muskingum Archery Head Coach Craig Holycross has been named the USA Archery North Region Collegiate Coach of the Year. This marks the second straight year that Holycross has been honored with this prestigious award.

Coach Holycross now advances to the USA Archery Collegiate Archery Program National Coach of the Year ballot. The honor comes after Holycross guided the Muskies to a highly successful 2022-23 campaign that saw Muskies rank among the best at the Collegiate Northern Outdoor Target Regional hosted by Southeastern Illinois College and at the USA Archery Indoor Nationals held in Harrisburg, Virginia.

Holycross is in his third year at the helm of Muskingum's archery program. Muskingum is the only school in the Ohio Athletic Conference to field an archery team and one of the only NCAA schools in the state to offer archery as a varsity sport. Muskingum debuted archery during the 2020-21 campaign and hosts events at the new archery facility at Moorehead Farm. Regional Coaches of the Year are selected by showing tireless dedication to the sport, and their archers have seen success in the classroom and on the archery field.

Muskingum completes its season at the Collegiate Target Nationals, which takes place at Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia, from May 18-21.
